COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
At hase 2, we not only help our clients engage in meaningful relationship building in communities across the country, we lead by example and share our own blueprint for corporate social responsibility, personal commitment, nonprofit service, and corporate compassion with our clients. We believe we have an obligation to give back to the communities that have supported us, to make the world a better place than we found it, and to serve as positive role models for those around us.
Our team has decades of experience in community empowerment, civil rights activism, pro bono work, and nonprofit service. Led by our CEO Lamell McMorris, we have given millions of dollars and countless hours of our time to support nonprofit work over the years.
Not only has Mr. McMorris served on the national boards of the National Urban League, the NAACP, the National Action Network, and the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, he also served as the Executive Director of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and he serves as a Principal in Greenling Realty USA. He has led the Diversity Advisory Councils for Regions Bank and the American Red Cross, and he has been an active volunteer and financial supporter of dozens of nonprofits across the country.
In 2012, the firm funded the launch of the Phase 2 House, a transitional home for teen moms, through its work with the Healthy Babies Project in Washington, DC. In 2015 after the tragic shooting at the historic Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, S.C., the firm donated $500,000 to several nonprofits that work to promote tolerance and inclusion.
